Here is my last 2 cents as well.
...Today, it seems a little different, but if you evaluate it all together they're at the same level.
Yes, Christianity's past hasn't always been Christ like but it is in the past now. There are no more inquisitions or witch hunts. Evaluating it all together to give an accurate account of history isn't unreasonable but Christianity has largely moved passed such tactics therefore is irrelevant in the context of this debate. Germany was responsible for 2 world war's yet they moved past that and the world does not continually judge them a hostile nation. The same goes for Japan. I think the problem here is we never defined the word extremist and what exactly constitutes extremism. I think some have taken it simply to mean "people more conservative than they." Personally I do not find this to be a fair labeling. That has been and is my point.
peace is achieved when the Israelis stop pestering their lives with illegal settlements and military conquests. lives are lost even because of that. why should a people give up on their country just to wander around being a stateless people?...
As I said earlier I do concur that recognizing Israel as a state and continual support of it is the source of this Mid East conflict. Let's be realistic though, Israel is a stubborn country and is anything REALLY worth your life? The lives of your loved ones? My great grandparents left Italy with nothing other than the clothes on their backs to escape tyranny. Italy was their home for generations. Yet they realized the lives of their loved ones were worth more and in doing so abandoned everything to live in peace. The Irish left Ireland during the potato famine leaving farms behind. The Puritans left Europe to seek religious freedom. In the interest of peace sometimes you have to make hard choices. Are you advocating that the current slaughter should continue? Is having a state worth more than human life? If so then that's exactly why the world is in the shape it is. We value tangible things like a flag more than our humanity.
