Hey guys, I'm a new member and you can call me Goggles. *extends a hand*

I don't remember exactly how I got here but I'm pretty sure I came in through the fanfic section. I've been clicking links half-asleep this morning, I think, when I came across the forums and it looks nice and active so I decided to register.

Hm, I guess some more digi-related info about me is appropriate at this point. I'm nineteen years old and a BS Mathematics student at the 'Wonderful and Majestic' (I find it funny how some college people get such big heads when they get in) University of the Philippines. I can confirm that you can never really know how beautiful and nice math really is until you become a math major. Of course, at some point you'd realize there are three two possible outcomes - you're either going to conquer the subject, end up jumping off the math building, or blowing up a professor's car.

Digimon dubs (in local language) aired in a local channel here when I was a kid, around 8 or 9 years old I think, but the schedule didn't fit mine so I couldn't watch it. Around five years later, when I was in highschool an English dub of Adventure aired in cable channels. (though not the American version I think, voices are different from the ones in Youtube and such) Needless to say I got hooked and often come to school at the nick of time because I watch the episodes, then come rushing back home to catch the replay (I'm insane, I know). But as the last episode was about to air, my parents canceled cable subscription. Oh, what a scorned little brat I was when they did it, haha.

Fast forward to April 2009. I was flipping through channels on cable (we got it back by then) one day and chanced on a double-episode airing of Frontier (also in local language). It was love all over again with me watching it every time it came on, replay or not. I missed the first week of classes (due to chickenpox, I'm not that obsessed) but I got to watch the last four episodes of the series. (yayz!)

Right now they're airing 02 episodes discreetly hidden in the 6am timeslot (yes, 6 in the wonderful morning) and I'm trying to keep myself from staying too long on the machine at night so I can wake up early.

Earlier, I tried my hand at writing a fic, creating a digimon and a partner for it, but my thirteen-year-old self can only come so far before losing interest. Around May last year I tried again, this time more successfully (though I still haven't finished yet because of schoolwork and crap I'm dealing with, last update was November I think) with an AgunimonXOC romance. Yes, I delved into the forbidden practice of DigiXDigi. I'm also helping as editor for a collab fic atm. But the captain's busy moving so we're holding off from publishing chapters, though we do have some ready for posting.

So I guess that's it. Thanks for reading and I hope to have fun here discussing/arguing/doing pointless stuff with you guys. If you don't mind, I have to go back and study for hell week. Or at least get ready for class. Cheers! ( ^^)b

greetings goggles, welcome to onlinedigimon.com :) *catches the extended hand*

interesting read, i mean i instinctively hate math but some years back i was reminded of a few things that kinda set me back on the right track on understanding math: i know that one should not look at it as a problem but rather as a thing to be solved with the right mindset... though if i kept that up, my brain would burst eventually but i would never do anything to cause hassle to my professor lmao (and my brain is full of sludge already so)

i became a digimon fan when i was 14-15 (at that time when it came around for the first time)... i first used to think of it as childish nonsense and it oozed of awkwardness, but it subtly aroused my mind as the episodes went on and on that it turned epic... it was a secret but great feeling thus it led me to daydream about it all night and day and i became a fan, and i slowly started watching both seasons in all secrecy and caught up to episodes as many as possible

i have a fanfic too but ive never bothered to write it down for years, then i mean FOR YEARS... ive avoided including sexual themes in it because i find it uncomfortable when it comes to character development and theres always this classic hollywood style sex trap thing you could fall into and i dont want that even though sex is always a "natural" thing in movies these days... feh, its just lame cliche if you ask me... but i dunno, are you literally into the uh, downright yiff thing between digimon? agunimon is more closer to human after all, so i kinda wouldnt mind, and besides its not like i cant tolerate yiff but im more into keeping the original character settings clean if you know what i mean. ANYWAY if you still got some fanfics, then post em in the same section you were looking into! there are people here who actually appreciate the read and the settings in the fics.

anyway we got digimon subs available for download if you really love watching the show often, its all in original japanese audio though and texted in english

well i hope you have a good time here, be back soon :]

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Oh my, it looks like I could've written my first post more clearly to avoid confusion. I'm not a PWP writer if that's what I typed down comes out like, haha. The AgunimonXOC thing was a challenge to myself - whether or not I can write something that would, from description/first impressions, be assumed as either cheezy or downright dirty and come up with a fic that delivers emotions. No lemons, no dirt, no sex. Just romance, anguish and maybe a bit of comedy to ease the atmosphere. My first fic (I cringed when I reread the first two chapters years after) lacked emotion, though it was more of a Gen-Adventure type and shouldn't carry too much drama.

What better challenge would there be, I thought to myself, than DigiXDigi? It's not exactly what people expect to be worth a good read so if I make at least someone happy by the time I finish then that's enough for me. I'll post it in the fanfic section sometime, maybe when the schoolyear's coming to an end, so I can follow-up with succeeding chapters, or earlier if I'm bored/need ideas. I also want to read the previous entries first so I know if it's worthy enough to be with you guys' works.

Downloads you say? I'll check out that section later, after I get my face back to normal. I'm grinning with excitement like an idiot.

Hello and welcome. I also love math, been taught by school and personally by my dad who finished university and has been a teacher for 30 years. I can't say I'm anything special, but I'm above average.

So yeah, glad to have you as a member. Enjoy your stay.
